The Co-founder of Gloryhills Women Empowerment Foundation, Gloria Abiwu, has said that in the last ten years, the non-profit organization has empowered over 6,000 women into free vocational skills through its entrepreneurship program. She said that after offering them the training, they also help them in their startups.
"In 10 years, we have empowered a lot of women with vocational skills and helped them with startups. We also did several health screenings for women."

She raised concerns over some women not taking advantage of the training and skills development.
Mrs Abiwu said they are mainly in the rural area because that is where the majority of women are poor.
The Co-founder noted that financial constraints have been a challenge, saying, "Funding is a challenge to us; we rely on family and friends to fund our projects. Thank you to anyone who supported our projects. We need funding support to empower more women in rural areas."
Other speakers at the event included Audrey Forson, President of Interior Designers and Decorators' Ghana, who emphasized the importance of women supporting each other. "To be appreciated in a community, women would have to come out to support each other. Women have the potential but need to be empowered. Family also needs to be seen as a support system for both men and women."

She encouraged women entrepreneurs to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success, reminding them that it's a natural part of growth. Ms Forson urged women entrepreneurs to maintain a positive mindset.
UNESCO Secretary General Dr. Nadia Ibrahim encouraged women in the North to explore opportunities beyond their region. "Let's look beyond the boundaries of Northern Ghana and look for opportunities elsewhere. Gloryhills is making a great impact, and the women would have to make good use of it."
She emphasized that Northern women are diligent and eager to work, and platforms like Gloryhills should be widely recognized to maximize benefits.
