Ghanaian forward Christopher Bonsu Baah had an uneventful debut for Al Qadsiah in the Saudi Super Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
Bonsu Baah was handed a starting berth in his first official game for the club as they faced Al Ahli in the semifinal of the Super Cup.
The winger didn't take long to spark to life as he set up the opening goal of the game to give his side the lead.
Bonsu Baah charged down the left flank, beating his marker before sending in a teasing cross which was headed in by Gaston Alvarez in the eighth minute.
Al Ahli drew level through Franck Kessie before Ivan Toney completed the comeback with a penalty in the 28th minute.
Al Ahli took charge of the game with a third in the 31st minute before Bonsu Baah was sent off for a reckless challenge on his opponent.
The Ghanaian left his boots on the shin of the opponent, which VAR deemed too dangerous and was eventually sent off in the 42nd minute.
Al Ahli went on to add two more goals to ensure they reached the final of the Super Cup, where they will face Al Nassr.
