Mr Kofi Totobi Quakyi, the Board Chair of Ghana Gas, has assured power consumers that the planned maintenance works on the plant will be completed within schedule.
The plant was shut down on Saturday, 16th August 2025, for major maintenance works within the next two weeks.
Other works would require a first-time touch since the plant became operational some 11 years ago.

Mr Quakyi led the governing board of Directors of the company to the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant on Sunday, August 24, to ascertain the progress of work.
The board expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the ninth day of the 14-day planned schedule.
He commended the technical team for their good work and encouraged the workers to continue protecting the plant, a vital state asset.
