Fire on Sunday morning destroyed a three-bedroom self-contained house and four chamber-and-hall apartments at Darkuman Kokompe in Accra.
Thanks to the swift intervention of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), adjoining properties were saved, and no casualties were recorded.

According to the GNFS, the service received a distress call at about 9:09 a.m. on August 31.
Two fire engines were immediately dispatched, with the first crew from the Industrial Area Fire Station arriving on the scene at 9:22 a.m.

Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control with reinforcement from the Headquarters team, ensuring it was completely extinguished.

The GNFS said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
