King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has accepted an invitation from US President Donald J. Trump to join as a Founding Member of a Peace Board that the U.S. leader intends to establish.
The initiative aims to contribute to peace efforts in the Middle East while promoting a new approach to resolving conflicts worldwide.
The Peace Board will be reserved for a select group of internationally recognised leaders committed to building a secure and prosperous future for the coming generations.
The invitation reflects international recognition of the King's enlightened leadership, his stature as a key actor in peace, and the trust he enjoys from the President of the United States and the broader international community.
Welcoming President Trump’s commitment and vision for promoting peace, His Majesty has formally accepted the invitation. In this context, Morocco will ratify the founding charter of the Peace Board.
The Board will take the legal form of an international organisation, with a mandate to promote stability, restore governance, and ensure lasting peace in regions affected by, or at risk of, conflict.
Its work will be guided by practical cooperation, effective action, and results-oriented partnerships. Participation in the Board will be strictly by invitation from the President of the United States.
Morocco has also welcomed the announcement of the launch of the second phase of President Trump’s comprehensive peace plan, as well as the official formation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza as a temporary transitional body.
Under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI, Morocco has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the Middle East.
This includes support for the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side in peace with Israel.
