The United States Chargé d’Affaires to Ghana, Rolf Olson, has held talks with the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, aimed at deepening cooperation on security-related matters.
Discussions at the meeting centred on tackling criminal activity, addressing the growing threat of cybercrime, and strengthening the capacity of Ghana’s law enforcement agencies to respond effectively to emerging security challenges.

Mr. Olson expressed appreciation for the Minister’s openness and cooperation, stressing the importance of consistency in enforcement and strict adherence to the rule of law in maintaining public safety.
In response, Mr Muntaka commended the United States Embassy for its continued support and reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to working closely with its partners to confront security threats.

Both parties also explored avenues for sustained training and technical support for security personnel, with the Interior Minister underscoring Ghana’s willingness to collaborate on capacity-building initiatives to enhance law enforcement effectiveness.
