The Secretary-General of the Pan-African Youth Union, H.E. Wiisichong Bening Ahmed, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Ayariga, at the Authority’s headquarters to explore areas of mutual collaboration.
The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships aimed at empowering young people across the African continent through structured programmes and strategic initiatives.
Both leaders discussed the need to position African youth to compete effectively on the global stage by investing in practical skills development and innovation-driven opportunities.

Central to the discussions was how African countries can leverage skills training schemes to equip young people with employable competencies.
Particular attention was given to Ghana’s National Apprenticeship Programme and other technical and vocational training models that could be enhanced and replicated to tackle youth unemployment and promote entrepreneurship.
Mr Ayariga reaffirmed the NYA’s commitment to deepening collaboration with continental youth institutions to advance capacity-building efforts and create sustainable opportunities for young people, stressing that empowering Africa’s youth remains essential to the continent’s long-term growth and transformation.
