The Africa Nonprofit Summit (ANPOS2026) returns on Tuesday, May 12, at the ISSER Conference Hall, University of Ghana, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Convened by NCVO Ghana and Partnership Bureau, the summit will bring together nonprofit leaders, development partners, policymakers, social innovators, and sector stakeholders from across Africa.
Building on the success of previous editions in 2024 and 2025 (which convened 240 participants each), ANPOS2026 promises a vibrant and engaging platform designed to equip nonprofit professionals with practical knowledge, innovative strategies, and meaningful connections to strengthen their work and expand their impact.
The State of the African Nonprofit Sector: Why ANPOS 2026 Matters
Across Africa, nonprofit organisations are at the forefront of tackling critical development challenges. From education and health interventions to climate action and youth empowerment, the sector continues to face growing pressures, including rising regulatory demands, evolving donor expectations, funding constraints, and the need for stronger governance and operational systems.
In this rapidly changing environment, nonprofits must adapt, innovate, and collaborate to remain effective and sustainable. ANPOS2026 provides a timely and necessary platform for sector leaders to reflect on these challenges, share solutions, network, build partnerships, and explore innovative approaches that strengthen the nonprofit ecosystem across the continent.
Interactive Learning & Capacity Building
This year’s summit will feature interactive breakout sessions and practical discussions designed to equip nonprofit professionals with real-world tools and strategies. Key discussion areas include:
- Resource Mobilisation for Sustainable Nonprofits.
- Strategic Communication and Marketing for Nonprofit Impact.
- Monitoring and Evaluation for Nonprofits.
- Transformational Leadership for Nonprofit Growth and Influence.
Participants will engage directly with experts and peers, gaining actionable knowledge they can apply immediately within their organizations.
A major highlight of the summit will also be the launch of the Nonprofit Compliance Guidebook, a practical resource designed to help nonprofit organizations better understand regulatory requirements, strengthen governance practices, and improve compliance.
