Young daring singer, Teddy Addy Safori simply known in showbiz as Teddy has set his sights on winning back Ghana’s lost glory on the international music scene.
Heavily dosed with influences and inspiration from some of the biggest names in music, Teddy believes that he has what it takes to restore the music pride of the people.
To make his statement clear, he has released four singles, ‘Looking for Love’, ‘I Wanna Know', ‘I Don’t Want to Be Right’, and ‘Betrayal’.
These songs, Teddy said in a statement, embody his passion for preaching love through music. “My objective is to preach about love and let the world see and appreciate love.”
According to him, he intends to use music as a mouthpiece to cure all love related issues. “The dream is to see millions of people be happy and replace hate with love.”
Born in the early 1980’s in Akropong Akuapim, in the Eastern Region of Ghana, the smooth singer said his songs are the perfect food for the soul.
“I believe music is the only food for the soul therefore it always has to be fed with carefully selected ingredients and a well-balanced diet and that is a well and carefully selected lyrics and a balanced rhythm and melody so anytime I am writing my songs, I think first of my soul and what it will satisfy it,” Teddy noted.
Teddy is blessed with music talent. In 2005, he formed a three-man group known as Too Natural and took part in the Nescafe African Revelation talent hunt, in which they placed 3rd.
In 2007, his group represented the Greater Accra Region and won both the regional and national final.
Apart from his music prowess, Teddy is academically gifted. He holds a CIM UK Certificate, a bachelors degree in Project Management and a certificate in radio ethics and presentation.
