Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, the Central Regional Minister, has pledged to work closely with Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to accelerate development across the Region.

He made the pledge during a public accountability forum held at Twifo Hemang in the Twifo Hemang-Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region.

Mr Eduamoah said the accountability forum formed part of government efforts to engage residents and provide updates on development projects and programmes being implemented in their respective districts.

He said the forum would not be a one-off event, adding that the engagements would continue to enable residents to assess the performance of their local authorities and ensure the effective implementation of development projects.

Mr Patrick Fiable, District Chief Executive for Twifo Hemang-Lower Denkyira, said the district was beginning to witness significant development under the current administration.

He said the projects were evidence of the Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and the living conditions of residents in the district.

Mr Lawrence Kwabena Agyensaim, Member of Parliament for the Twifo Hemang-Lower Denkyira Constituency, urged residents to refrain from activities that could encourage hooliganism and disrupt the peace of the area.

He noted that the district continued to face a number of developmental challenges and called on residents to support initiatives such as the public accountability forum to help address them.

Mr Agyensaim stressed the need for unity and cooperation among residents, traditional authorities and government officials to promote sustainable development in the constituency.
