Black Satellites captain, Andre Ayew says he has drawn a lot of inspiration from the 'electric' performance of his French Ligue 2 side Arles-Avignon ahead of two major assignments for the Black Stars this month.
Ayew played a pivotal role in Arles' 1-0 win at home over much-fancied Le Havre on Friday night to move to third place as the league breaks for international assignments.
He has been named in Milovan Rajevac's 20-man squad for next week's final World Cup qualifier against Mali at home and a friendly in Angola on 18 November.
The 19-year-old offensive midfielder has been regular and consistent at Parc des Sports in his first season and admits he has improved tremendously.
"Playing every match and every week has made me better and I like that. This is what can make a player better and my club can see that. I am happy with my form," Ayew told media men.
“This is a team that wanted to maintain its position in the Ligue 2 but now we have the confidence of qualifying and that has given me a lot of confidence,” he added.
"If it continues like this, it gives you hope of a bright future. Club level is different and national team is different so my concentration is now on the Black Stars and I must perform well too," Ayew stressed.
