Police in the Northern region have denied brutalizing two motorcyclists for riding without helmets. The two last week accused the officers stationed at Salaga of assaulting them and putting them in custody because they refused to bribe them when they were caught. They further alleged the officers also refused to give them medical forms to seek treatment. Public Relations Officer for the Northern Regional Police Command Chief Inspector Ebenezer Tetteh told Joy News the accusations were found to be untrue. According to him the allegations are mischievous. He contended one of the men rather resisted arrest and minimal force was used on him before putting him behind bars. Chief Inspector Tetteh said the two have been given the latitude to provide the requisite documents covering the motorbike in order to reclaim it. Source: Joy News/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
