Coach of division one side Tamale Utrecht, Abdul Rasheed has been discharged from the hospital following a successful operation on his leg.
Coach Rasheed was rushed to the Tamale hospital after he was shot in the leg during a division one game involving his team Tamale Utrecht and Berlin FC.
Spokesperson of the club, Sei Mubarak has stated despite the coach being discharged from the hospital, he has been given some time off to recover fully.
“The coach is okay and has been discharged from the hospital,” he told Joy Sports.
“It is unfortunate he won’t be able to be with the team against Guan United this weekend because he hasn’t taken any training session with them.”
“We thank God he is back from the hospital he is doing quite well and we hope he recovers quickly.”
Tamale Utrecht lie bottom in Zone One of the Division One League.
