Black Satellites striker Dauda Mohammed is highly optimistic of a victory over their U20 counterpart in Ethiopia in the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations first leg qualifying tie this weekend.
The Black Satellites travel to face Ethiopia at the Addis Ababa Stadium in Ethiopia at 2pm GMT kickoff on Sunday.
Ethiopia are still in the competition after eliminating Somalia but the former World champions are now entering into the qualifiers after they drew bye and are two hurdles away from qualifying for the tournament which will be hosted by Zambia between February 26 and March 16 2017.
Dauda who has been in top form for Asante bagging four goals confident of a win on Sunday.
“I am sure we can beat them, because that is the only way we can qualify to the next round,” he said.
“We are well motivated for the game, I believe at the end of the day we will come out victorious.
“We are working hard and the results are going our way,” the Asante Kotoko striker told Adom Fm Sports.
“This time, we are going away first and I hope we get to watch them as we prepare for the game on Sunday.”
The winner of the tie will lock horns with the winner between Tunisia and Senegal in the final round.
Zambia will host the competition
Satellites left Accra for Ethiopia on Thursday afternoon ahead of the Sunday’s encounter.
