New Edubiase coach Anthony Commey rued defensive blunders as his side lost their fifth straight game away to Medeama in Tarkwa.
Edubiase whose participation in the league remained a huge doubt after threatening to pull out put in a courageous performance but were undone by two moments of defensive frailties.
Commey admits his side were affected by events leading to the game but they shot themselves right in the foot.
“Medeama is a very good side, it was a balanced game. They played very well and we also did much better as an away side, but defensive blunders caused us and also not being able to take our chances also contributed to us losing, Commey told reporters.
“The team was also affected by the earlier comments about the team opting out of the league, my players needed huge psychological boost before the game and I did my best to ensure that.
“Officiating was okay today compared to our previous game against Dreams FC, the referees’ decisions were okay and am very much happy for that”.
“We will need some enforcement in our attack, there should be one or two players to increase our attacking potency.
Edubiase lie bottom on the league log.
