National Sports Authority (NSA) boss Joe Kpenge feels frustrated with the current state of the Accra Sports Stadium.
Aside the facility deteriorating, the Electricity Company of Ghana has cut power supply to the Stadium as part of its ongoing mass disconnection exercise in Accra.
The electricity bills of the Accra Stadium remain outstanding for several months.
This has affected several activities at the stadium and the NSA boss has explained what has accounted for this unfortunate incident
“We rely on electricity to run everything, but by the nature of the stadium it will be difficult to stay in the offices without air condition,” he told Joy Sports.
“We need light to write, light to run our computers to be able to process letters to those we communicate with.”
“Our tenants, we have rented shops here, also need light to run their business.”
“So work has come to a halt.”
