Management committee chairman of the Black Stars, George Afriyie, believes the Black Stars can qualify to the 2018 World Cup despite being five points behind Egpyt.
Ghana lost 2-0 to Egypt in Alexandria on Sunday- a results which put the Black Stars third on the table.
Many believe that is the end of the road for Ghana but George Afriyie who doubles as the vice President of the Ghana Football Association believes they still have a chance.
"Well it doesn't look good on paper but this is football and anything can happen," he said
"The fact that they have won 6 points so far does not mean they have qualified but we can't anything away from them.
"We should just look at what's next and do it and see what the future holds."
The qualifiers will resume in August 2017.
