The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has advised parents to investigate the background of schools before enrolling their wards.
The council has stopped three Senior High Schools in Accra from taking part in the ongoing WASSCE exams.
It said the schools had not been accredited to sit the exams and therefore recommend that the affected students register as private candidates for the November-December (Nov-Dec) edition of the exams.
Speaking to Joy News Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the council, Agnes Tei-Cudjoe urged parents to scrutinize the credibility of schools to avoid such unfortunate incidence in the future.
