After the goal fest in their first two games, the Black Starlets drew a blank against Guinea to end the group stage of the 2017 African Junior Championship.
The result, which was not what most Ghanaians expected after a scintillating start to the competition, confirmed Ghana as group leaders and a return to their base in Port Gentil after travelling to Libreville for the third group game.
Coach Fabin made four changes to his starting line-up and alterations hindered his team’s fluency as the Guineans took control of the match and carved the Starlets open a couple of times.
Chances were few and far between both teams as the game wore on but Ibrahim Sulley, who grabbed a brace on the opening day, could have won the game for the Starlets but headed a goal-bound shot wide of the target.
Seven points on the board, nine goals scored and none conceded.
The team will now play the second-placed team in Group A.
