A conference aimed at shoring up the confidence of young ladies to pursue their ambitions to the highest level has been launched.
The IWoman Talks, as is being christened, comes off Thursday, 29th June 2017 at American Corner (AC), Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD).
The conference is themed, Confidence; your Power to Possibilities.
The organisers, Sheek Africa Media, say there is a general consensus that a lack of assertiveness is hurting young women seeking to last long in their chosen fields of endeavour.
Bogged down by cultural perceptions and societal expectations, a young woman is often under pressure to abandon their dreams and ambitions.
CEO of Sheek Africa told Myjoyonline.com, the annual IWoman Talks will capitalise on stories that explore ways women can harness their potentials.
One of such women is Ghana's youngest MP Francisca Oteng-Mensah of Kwabre East Constituency in the Ashanti Region. She is expected to lead several women to tell their stories and their struggles.

"We also hope that through IWoman Talks, participants will learn to overcome their fears and doubts as well as have the will to lead positive change to make an impact in their lives, families, and communities" Derby Prakah-Asante said.
The conference is free organisers say.
