The two most successful clubs in Ghana, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, meet in Sunday's MTN FA Cup final in Tamale.
But how did they make it this far?
ASANTE KOTOKO

Round 64 – v Bekwai Youth Academy (A) 1-1 (3-1 on penalties)
Kotoko’s campaign began with a trip to Berkwai, where they were confronted by the promising Berkwai Youth Academy. Kwame Boateng powered the Porcupine Warriors into the lead a minute after the interval but the Division One side cancelled the deficit very late into to send the tie to penalties. The won the shootout thanks to the heroics of veteran goalie Isaac Amoako to progress.
Round 32 – v Proud United (A) 0-1
Kotoko were up against another second-tier side Proud United at the Swedru Park. The Porcupines were not at their best but Baba Mahama’s debut goal was all they needed to secure a place in the last 16.
Round 16 – v Wassaman United (H) 1-0
Kotoko faced another Division One League team but this time they were in front of their own fans at the Baba Yara stadium. The Porcupine Warriors dominated play but their profligacy in front of goal meant they had to settle for a slim victory.
The goal came in the first half courtesy captain Amos Frimpong. The defender converted expertly from the spot after striker Yakubu Mohammed was brought down in the box.
Quarter Final – v Nea Salamina (H) 2-1
In a match many expected them to win comfortably, Kotoko needed a huge favour from the referee to overcome the inexperience Nea Salamina. Sadick Adams gave Kotoko the lead but Obeng Junior levelled the tie and with five minutes to end proceedings, referee Nuhu Liman awarded Kotoko a dubious penalty. Captain Amos Frimpong did not have two minds as he converted to send Kotoko through.
Semi Final – v Medeama (Neutral ground) 1-0 after extra-time
Kotoko finally met a Premier League side, Medeama. The semi-final matchup at the Len Clay stadium was level and entertaining with both teams out for the win. However, the game was not decided till extra-time when Sadick Adams fired past goalkeeper Yaw Ansah to take Kotoko through to the MTN FA Cup final.
Goals scored: 6
Goals conceded: 2
Top scorers: Amos Frimpong and Sadick Adams - two goals each.
HEARTS OF OAK

Round 64 – v Sporting Mirren (H) 2-1
Hearts of Oak started their 2017 MTN FA Cup campaign with a home tie against Sporting Mirren and the second tier side made Frank Nuttal's side work extremely hard for their victory. With the game on course for penalties after Anthony Nimo’s lead had been cancelled out by Mirren captain Jewel Arthur, Patrick Razak scored a stunning solo goal to send the Phobians through to the round of 32.
Round 32 – v Kotoku Royals (H) 4-0
Hearts of Oak proved too strong for Kotoku Royals with defender Vincent Atingah (brace), Cosmos Dauda and Kwame Kizito all scoring to secure the confidence-boosting victory.
Round 16 – v Young Wise (A) 1-0
Struggling for form in the Premier League, The Phobians travelled to face Young Wise and they were forced to dig deep to win. An own goal from Abdul Rahman was the difference as the Rainbow club just did enough to make it to the next stage.
Quarter Final – v Danbort FC (H) 1-0
Another round, another second-tier side, this time facing cross-town rivals Danbort FC. And again, a 1-0 win was enough to send Hearts to a first semi-final since 2013. Vincent Atingah scored the solitary goal.
Semi-Final – v Wa All Stars (Neutral ground) 2-1
WA All Stars stood in Hearts way of a first MTN FA Cup final in 17 years as Nuttal took his side to Obuasi Len Clay stadium for the semi-final. Ahead of the game, Hearts were boosted with the return of WAFU Cup winning quartet and it was two, Patrick Razak and Kwame Kizito who combined to ensure the Phobians overcame the Northern Blues.
Goals scored: 10
Goals conceded: 2
Top scorer: Vincent Atingah - 3 goals.
