The Member of Parliament for Mfantsiman West, Aquinas Quansah has disputed allegations he is busing people from other regions to take part in the ongoing biometric registration process.
He said such allegations are wild and without basis.
He was reacting to comments by the parliamentary candidate for the opposition New Patriotic Party, Asamoah Boateng who claimed ‘aliens’ have been bused from Ashaiman near Tema and the Brong Ahafo Regional capital, Sunyani to shore up the dwindling fortunes of the incumbent candidate in the region.
But Aquinas Quansah told Joy News' Central Region correspondent Richard Kojo Nyarko that he does not need foreign votes to win the elections.
He said Asamoah Boateng is unnecessarily raising tension in the area.
He said looking at the projects he has undertaken in the region, he has no doubts he will win hands down.
The Deputy Central Region Minister said his opponent is only crying wolf and challenged him to substantiate his allegations.
He also dared him to take legal action if he is convinced such an allegation is true.
