Access Bank Ghana has partnered with giant German brands, Volkswagen (VW) and Allianz Insurance to offer Ghanaians cheaper, insured brand new vehicles, under a new partnership agreement.
Under the partnership, Ghanaians can acquire vehicle finance loans from Access Bank to purchase several brand-new VW models at discounted prices and protect the cars through premium insurance packages from Allianz Insurance.
In a short ceremony at the VW showroom at Industrial Area in Accra, German Ambassador, Daniel Krull said the partnership attests to the strong trade relationship between Ghana and Germany. He said the automotive sector plays an important role in Ghana’s industrialization agenda and commended government for fronting the ambitious car assembling policy for the industry. He encouraged the government to implement the strategy fully. “When the assembled cars do well, it will establish Ghana as an important hub in the automobile industry for the continent” he said.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Olumide Olatunji noted that transportation is vital to our everyday lives and Access Bank Ghana is offering Ghanaians the opportunity to own brand-new vehicles to meet their transportation needs through the partnership. He added that, VW has made its mark as a respected German brand in the country, with the first international car assembling plant in Ghana, promoting job creation and positively impacting Ghana’s economy. Olumide said the Bank has remained committed to the operation of German businesses in the country.
“Over the past four years, Access Bank has remained committed to serving German businesses through a designated German Desk, which serves as the focal point for German companies seeking to do business in Ghana, as well as local companies who want to enter business relations with German enterprises.
