The Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, Togbe Amenya Fiti IV says he is the custodian of a significant number of votes in the general elections which he will be making available to any political party that deserves it.
Interacting with the Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Togbe Amenya Fiti says it is not true that he declared his support and that of his people for President John Mahama.
It has been reported that during the President's 'Accounting to the People' tour, Togbe Fiti IV was one of the chiefs who endorsed President Mahama.
However, Togbe Fiti IV said, "His excellency President Mahama came to Aflao and I told him that looking at the nature of my people, I have the votes, I have the people, I have the numbers. So Aflao is just a beautiful lady that I am putting on the table for handsome men like you to come and take home."
"I will never hide my beautiful queen, so the next party that comes I will still place my queen on the table. My word is that I have the numbers, parties should come and campaign and get the numbers. I am not saying I am giving the numbers to any particular party, no! Looking at the numbers over here from Klikor, Some and Aflao, we are not going to maintain the 100,000, my women are giving birth and generations are coming and the small girls are growing," he added.
Togbe Fiti IV said he has given Nana Akuffo-Addo the permission to move into towns to share his visions and campaign as he deems fit.
He says Nana Akuffo Addo like many former ministers in the Kufuor administration did a lot for the people of the Volta Region, recounting how Akufo-Addo during Kufour's administration helped to move the border closure time from 6 p.m to 10 p.m.
"My friend Alan too is there, When he was the Minister for Trade, I've been going to his office telling him that the embargo on some small small things from Togo to Accra he should lift them so my people will get something to eat," Togbe Fiti IV said.
According to him, Mr. Kyeremanten did something and the women in Aflao got some benefits through the border.
"I am here for everybody, and I will do such a thing to everybody no matter your color and party. I will not differentiate between party A and B," Togbe Fiti IV said.
In a surprise move, the Presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akuffo Addo announced that Alan Kyeremanteng will be his Trade and Industry Minister if he is elected President later this year.
