The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 38-year-old man for the unlawful possession and transportation of substances suspected to be controlled narcotic drugs.
The suspect, identified as Godsway Kwaku Dogbey, was picked up on Friday, January 23, 2026, following an intelligence-led operation by the police.

According to the police, a vehicle with registration number GV 2460-14, belonging to the Ghana Health Service, was impounded near Tarso Hotel in Ho after the suspect allegedly ignored a directive to stop at a police checkpoint at OLA Top and sped through the barrier.
The police say further investigations are underway, while the suspect remains in custody to assist with ongoing inquiries.
