Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has hailed the magnitude of the World Cup describing it as the 'best football tournament.'
The West Ham United man had the experience of playing in the mundial three years ago when the Black Stars competed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Kudus, arguably one of Ghana's players in the tournament, scored two goals in three appearances in his maiden outing.
He says no tournament can be compared to the World Cup.
"It was really nice. I think the World Cup is the best football tournament. The Champions League is up there but the World Cup was just different in Qatar, my for the first time," he told Rising Ballers in an interview.
"My family flew all the way to support so it was an amazing feeling."
Despite the Black Stars' early exit, Kudus says the feeling was exceptional.
"We didn’t go as far as I would have loved us to go but it was nice to experience the World Cup. To be part of it was great," he added.
The 24-year-old will be hoping he can take the senior team there again in 2026 with the qualifiers next in sight after missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
