Black Stars head coach Avram Grant has revealed that dropping six players from the initial 31-man provisional squad was tough.

But injured striker Abdul Majeed Waris who has been ruled out for two weeks after sustaining injury whiles playing for Trabzonspor, according to FA sources will be monitored by the medical team to see if he can recover before the start of the tournament.
"It wasn’t easy because we had too many injuries, some players haven’t played for almost two months but I think we have done a good job.If we need to train then we need to train well as you know some of the players have not had the opportunity to play for a very long time so we will work on that.
“We were looking for a place that we can train in a good weather but not too cold so Seville is good because it is not too cold or warm. We need a good weather to train so I think it is the best option.”He added.
The Black Stars will be based in Spain for ten days before travelling to Equatorial Guinea on January 14, three days before the tournament begins.
Ghana is in Group C with Senegal, South Africa and Algeria.
