Ghanaian forward says it was 'amazing' to have helped the LA Galaxy end their 10-year wait to win the Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup again.
LA Galaxy were winners of the competition after beating New York Red Bulls in the final of the competition earlier this month in the final.
Paintsil was one of the players who starred in the final as he opened the scoring on the night against the Red Bulls, going to to clinch the title.
The victory means they beat Inter Miami's star-studded squad of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and a host of others to claim the title.
"It feels really great. It is something that every player also wants to have in his books. We having Messi and Busquets and the other players in the league and winning the league is really important because it’s not that easy," he said in an interview with 3Sports.
"It has been like 10 years since LA Galaxy won the trophy. So we breaking the record was an amazing feeling for us and for me also added to my record for having a trophy with LA Galaxy in my first season within a couple of months in LA."
Paintsil joined the club for the 2024 season from Belgian outfit Genk and will now look to help Galaxy achieve win the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup with LA Galaxy.
