Adventure seekers, celebrities and nature lovers were treated to an unforgettable blend of excitement, relaxation and wildlife discovery as Day 1 of the 2026 Joy Safari Experience, organised by Joy FM under the Multimedia Group Limited, roared to life at the breathtaking Safari Valley Resort.

The two-day premium getaway in the Eastern Region, from March 20–21, drew patrons from across the country eager to escape the city and immerse themselves in Ghana’s rapidly growing eco-tourism landscape.
From the moment participants arrived, the atmosphere was lit with bliss, a mix of festival-like excitement and serene luxury nestled within lush hills, exotic wildlife habitats and modern resort facilities.

Guests were received with music, refreshments and guided orientation tours before being ushered into a packed itinerary designed to deliver both adrenaline and relaxation.

The highlight of the opening day was the signature safari tour, where patrons boarded specially designed vehicles for close encounters with animals roaming within expansive conservation zones.

Excited shouts and laughter filled the air as visitors spotted zebras, antelopes and exotic birds while expert guides shared fascinating insights about the species and ecosystem.

For many first-time visitors, it was a rare opportunity to experience a safari-style adventure without leaving Ghana.
Adventure meets luxury
Beyond wildlife viewing, participants indulged in a wide range of outdoor activities that showcased the resort as a complete adventure destination.

Day One featured:
- Guided nature walks through scenic landscapes
- Luxury cabin check-ins with panoramic views
- Swimming and relaxation at the aqua safari facilities
- Photography sessions amid stunning backdrops
- Outdoor games and team-bonding activities
- Live entertainment and DJ sessions
As evening approached, the experience shifted into high gear with a vibrant social gathering featuring music, dancing and storytelling around the theme of exploring Ghana’s natural beauty.
Celebrities add glamour
The event’s star power added to the excitement, with several well-known personalities joining patrons for the adventure.

Popular radio presenters and entertainers from Joy FM mingled freely with guests, taking selfies, sharing travel stories and participating in activities, creating an unusually intimate atmosphere between celebrities and fans.

Their presence transformed the getaway into both a tourism event and a lifestyle festival.
Why the experience stands out
Organisers designed the Joy Safari Experience not merely as a leisure trip but as a showcase of Ghana’s untapped tourism potential.
According to hosts, the programme aims to encourage domestic tourism by demonstrating that world-class adventure experiences exist within the country.

Safari Valley Resort itself has gained a reputation as one of West Africa’s emerging luxury eco-destinations, combining conservation, hospitality and adventure into a single experience.
Visitors praised the facility’s unique blend of wilderness and comfort, from elegant accommodations to curated activities suitable for families, couples and corporate groups.
A night to remember
As darkness fell, Day 1 culminated in a lively evening programme featuring music, dancing and social networking under the stars.

Laughter echoed across the resort as strangers became friends, united by shared adventure and discovery.
Organisers hinted that Day 2 would bring even more excitement, including additional safari sessions, wellness activities and exclusive experiences.
Promoting Ghana as a tourism hub
Tourism stakeholders believe initiatives like the Joy Safari Experience play a crucial role in promoting local travel and supporting Ghana’s hospitality sector.

By packaging luxury, adventure and entertainment into one event, organisers hope to inspire more Ghanaians and international visitors to explore the country’s natural attractions.
A paradise for explorers
Travel enthusiasts at the event described the experience as a perfect getaway for:
- Adventure lovers seeking outdoor thrills
- Nature enthusiasts interested in wildlife
- Couples looking for romantic escapes
- Families wanting safe, educational fun
- Corporate teams planning retreats
- Tourists exploring Ghana beyond beaches and cities
Many patrons said the package offered exceptional value given the range of activities, accommodation and meals included.
“Everyone should experience this”
Participants repeatedly described the getaway as refreshing, rejuvenating and unforgettable.
For those seeking a break from routine, a taste of wilderness or simply a joyful escape, the message from Day 1 was clear: this is an experience not to miss.
With anticipation building for the final day’s activities, one thing was certain: the Joy Safari Experience 2026 had already delivered memories that will last long after the safari vehicles fall silent.

"I had a very exciting time with my husband and the kids, as the Joy Safari Experience provided a soothing atmosphere to bond. I will encourage everyone to try it out at least once to explore what Ghana has to offer and enjoy the exciting moments," Mrs Georgina Richter, an entrepreneur and mother of three, shared at the end of Day 1.

A US-based Ghanaian doctor, Samuel Ababio, who participated in the programme added.
"It was a nice experience to enjoy nature and home after being away for a long time. Next year, I will be coming with friends and others in my network to have a taste of this side of Ghana."
