Anointed South African songwriter, singer, and music producer, the Reverend Benjamin Dube, is billed to charm gospel music lovers at Harvest Praise 2011, Harvest International Ministries, organizers of the crucifixion praise and worship festival, announced in Accra.
Fusing the usual heavy soul inspiring South African rhythms with energetic dances, Rev Dube would lead other seasoned local artistes including current gospel music queen of the airwaves Cecilia Marfo and platinum record holders - Daughters of Glorious Jesus to rock Harvest Praise 2011 slated for Good Friday, April 22, at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Mr Daniel Adjei, Chairman of Harvest Praise 2011 Planning Committee told Citi FM that the evergreen Harvest Gospel Choir will be in their full crowd-stirring elements with their usual vigorous and infectious praise - a favourite hallmark of the Good Friday Gospel show.
The illustrious Harvest Theatre group is also expected to stomp the stage with charismatic chorographic performances to showcase West African Gospel Music drama to their South African counterparts.
Rev Dube, 49, founder of High Praise Centre in Johannesburg, described as a Gospel legend of Africa, is noted for his first hit "HOLY SPIRIT," which was a cross-over hit song and chart buster on local radio stations and sold over 25,000 units in the year of its release in South Africa.
Rev Dube is a celebrated recipient of so many awards including the Best Praise and Worship Album award in 2007; a Crown Gospel Music award for Best Praise and Worship Artist 2008 and Gospel Legend Award and the Best Contemporary Artiste and has shared preaching platforms with Bishop TD Jakes, Bishop John Francis, Bishop Tudor Bismark, Kirk Franklin, Andrae Crouch, Israel Houghton and many other renowned speakers and musicians.
