Ghana’s representative on the ECOWAS committee drafting the political parties’ charter has promised to push for greater participation of the youth in promoting democracy.
The PNC General Secretary Bernard Monah has been elected to the committee drafting a charter which will regulate activities of political parties in the sub-region.
He tells Joynews he sees his election not only as an endorsement of Ghana’s democratic credentials but also as an opportunity to advocate for the inclusion of youth in solving Africa’s problems.
“I consider myself a very young person so I will be able to champion the cause of the young people on the committee.
“I will also be able to make significant inputs on the stages that Ghana has gone through to reach this far,” he said.
