Entertainment colossus, Bola Ray has exited Joy FM - drawing down the curtains on an illustrious 11 years career as host of multiple award-winning show, Drive Time.
"Joy FM has been a great platform to develop our career...it was a difficult thing [decision] and I am glad I got the the blessing of the CEO,Kwasi Twum. It means alot to me.I call him my Godfather for taking me in when I was young and out of school", he told myjoyonline.com' Dela Aglanu.
Gifted with an ability to touch Ghana's entertainment nerve, Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray joined Joy FM in 2003 from Top Radio and made 3pm to 8pm time slot a hotspot for great music, great discussions on work, family and relations.

But the greatest segment of the show was Personality Profile - a surgical table on which the lives of great achievers were dissected and fed to an inspiration hungry generation.
Drive Time with Bola Ray which won 2012 CIMG Radio Programme of the year, was a show that entertained workers and literally drove them home.
From D.J presenter Bola Ray evolved into an entertainment enterprenuer setting up Empire Group of Companies include Empire Entertainment, and Empire 102.7 FM in Takoradi.
Bola made July a calender event with an international entertainment collaboration '‘Ghana Meets Naija’ where top hip-pop artistes in the two countries slug it out in Accra.

Bola Ray is a graduate of the University of Ghana and holds an MBA from Atis Business School, Milan Italy.

A friend to politcians, businessmen, entertainers, professionals, his Joy FM platform was coveted and commanding.
'Bola' means 'big', 'Ray' means light. A big light has left Joy FM.
Joy FM Programmes Manager Kofi Ansah eulogised the livewire of Ghana's entertainment.
"My first encounter with Bola when I joined this great company was one of warmth and affability. On a personal level, we’ve had a sweet relationship and on a corporate level, Bola has shown great dedication and commitment to his job. His passion and energy has always been infectious."
"His towering figure and rich baritone voice made him the definition of late afternoon drive shows in Ghana so it was never a surprise anytime he picked an award for his drive-time programme. Another side of Bola that was very visible was his entrepreneurial nature so at the back of my mind I knew a day would come when his ambitions would bring us to where we are today when we have to part ways physically".
"It’s with great joy that we bring the professional relationship to an end. It has been a mutually beneficial relationship and we have cherished every bit of it. We wish Bola God’s blessings in the next phase of his life".

Management of Multimedia Group Limited thanked him for his passion and commitment to the job and wished him the best in all future endeavours.
