Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service at Buipe swiftly responded to a distress call following a serious road accident at Yapei in the Savannah Region.
Upon arrival at the scene, the rescue team discovered a head-on collision between a tractor with registration number NR-1837-A and a Toyota Hiace minibus with registration number AS-7243-23, which had occurred in the middle of the road.

The gallant firefighters acted promptly to extricate ten trapped victims from the wreckage.
The rescued persons were immediately handed over to the National Ambulance Service, who conveyed them to the Yapei Polyclinic for emergency treatment.

According to the Fire Service, the impact of the collision left the two vehicles severely damaged.

Authorities have since commenced investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
