The Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) Wheelchair Tennis Team has departed for Rabat, Morocco to compete in the 2026 ITF PNB Paribas World Team Cup Africa Qualifiers, scheduled to take place at Club Wifaq Tennis, Rabat, Morocco from 30th March to 3rd April 2026.
Team Ghana will be represented in the men’s division by senior wheelchair tennis player Bernard Yawson and junior player Emmanuel Amosogo Amobire.
The team is accompanied by Coach Daniel Kwakye (Okoro) and team official Godfred Ansong from Ghana Wheelchair Tennis.
The Ghana team delivered an impressive performance last year, winning the bronze medal, and the team is hopeful of improving upon that achievement in this year’s competition.
The team expresses its sincere gratitude to H.E. Mrs. Charity Gbedawo, Ghana Ambassador to Morocco, for her support, as well as the National Coordinator of Ghana Wheelchair Tennis, Henry Larbi, and GTF President Mr. Isaac Abe Duah,
The Ghana Tennis Federation and Ghana Wheelchair Tennis remain committed to developing wheelchair tennis and providing opportunities for athletes with disabilities to compete at the highest level internationally.
