The Central Regional Hospital will soon have a management board to help facilitate the efficient running of the health facility.

Lacking a board for more than year, the Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, promised to ensure that the hospital board is restored to enable it take full charge of the challenges confronting the facility.

The Vice President made the promise, when he toured the hospital on Christmas Day and visited patients at the health facility to exhibit the spirit of giving, associated with the Birth of Christ.

According to Vice President Amissah-Arthur, who visited the facility with his family, in the company of the Central regional minister, Samuel Sarpong and other dignitaries, a proposal is already before the council of state explainging that it  was faced with some challenge following the death one of its members.

He further identified other facilities in the hospital that needed renewal including the renal unit of the hospital, which is facing serious challenges and promised to fixed them and make the facility one of the best in the country.

JoyNews’ Central Regional Correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko reported that the motivation of the Vice President to the hospital was to exhibit the modesty with which the birth of Christ comes with, serve the patients and encourage personnel of the hospital to give off their best.  

Meanwhile, the Vice President and his entourage were welcomed to the hospital amidst Choral music, as he moved from one ward to the other to spend some time with the patients, wishing them well and sharing fruits and other food stuffs.
