The Suzuki showroom in Accra buzzed with excitement on Tuesday, April 16, as CFAO Mobility Ghana proudly unveiled the latest generation of the iconic Suzuki Swift.
The vibrant event brought together fleet owners, individual customers, members of the Indian community, and auto enthusiasts, all eager to witness the reveal of a model that continues to define urban mobility with its celebrated performance and compact design. With a sleek, cocktail-style setup and over 100 invited guests in attendance, the launch was a true celebration of innovation, community, and progress.
The evening began with opening remarks from Mr. Adedamola Adelabu, Managing Director of CFAO Mobility Ghana, who emphasized that the launch was more than just the introduction of a new vehicle. "We are celebrating a milestone in innovation, local empowerment, and excellence in mobility." Mr. Adelabu highlighted that the all-new Suzuki Swift is assembled in Ghana at the Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Ghana (TTMG) assembly plant—the only vehicle in the country built from over 1,000 individual components. He further praised the Swift as a powerful symbol of cutting-edge Japanese engineering infused with Ghanaian expertise and resilience. "This is a vehicle that reflects the spirit of Ghana — innovativeness, resilience, and a forward-looking mindset."

Adding to the occasion, Mr. Fabrice Morin, Director of Operations – Sales & Aftersales, shared insights into the Swift’s remarkable journey since its debut in 2004. Now in its fourth generation, the Swift has sold over 9 million units globally and earned more than 60 awards across 20 countries. "In six words," Mr. Morin summarised, "the new Swift is stylish, sporty, and fun to drive."
Prince Hanson Ofosu-Amponsah, Suzuki Sales Supervisor, then guided guests through a detailed comparison of the outgoing model versus the all-new Swift GL+, highlighting significant upgrades in design, performance, and technology.
The grand reveal was met with applause and admiration as the cover was lifted to showcase the Swift’s bold, dynamic exterior. Key highlights include projector-style headlights, sculpted LED taillights, a premium front grille, and a more sporty, aerodynamic silhouette.
Inside, the new Swift impresses with high-quality fabric seats, a floating touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an upgraded modern instrument cluster.
Beneath the hood, the Swift GL+ features an optimized 1.2L 3-cylinder engine paired with a fully automatic transmission, replacing the previous auto-gear-shift system. It also includes an Overdrive Off Switch for enhanced performance on hills and winding roads. Safety has been notably elevated, now offering six airbags, up from just two in the earlier model.

As guests explored the Swift, capturing memorable moments and engaging with the Suzuki team, the event evolved into a lively networking session—filled with excitement, pride, and optimism for the future.
The launch of the all-new Suzuki Swift was not just about presenting a new car; it symbolized a deeper commitment to mobility innovation, sustainability, and local manufacturing in Ghana. The Swift is not only built for Ghana—it is proudly assembled in Ghana.
In the words of Mr. Adelabu, "With fuel-efficient vehicles like the Swift, we are helping Ghanaians save more, go farther, and live easier."
If the enthusiasm from the evening is any indication, the all-new Suzuki Swift is poised to make a stylish and lasting impression on Ghana’s roads.
