The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu has paid a courtesy call on Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, where a number of issues were discussed by the two distinguished personalities.
The Asantehene took time to recount the bad press and allegations leveled against him over the years, even preceding his ascension to the Golden Stool.
Some went to the extent of saying he was a drug baron and a fraudster, but said he decided not to take personal revenge and left everything to the Golden Stool and God.
The Asantehene also touched on recent rumour about his death, when he visited South Africa for his routine medical check-ups.
That notwithstanding, the Otumfuo Osei Tutu said he is still healthy and a happy man, undertaking the responsibilities assigned to him on earth by God.
Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu, who is in the Ashanti Region for a number of activities said he was in the Manhyia Palace to pray for the Asantehene and wish him long life.
The Chief Imam would later visit Suwaiba Abdul Mumin, the woman, whose missing baby sparked off confusion and a strike at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to commiserate with the family.
He is also expected to worship with the Muslim community at the Aboabo Central Mosque.
