Enumerators have vowed to demonstrate against Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) and Ministry of Food and Agriculture over unpaid allowance.
The Coalition of National Enumerators and Suppervisors (CONES) declared “Kum Yen Preko” demonstration to be staged in two weeks if their demands are not addressed.
According to CONES, “the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Food And Agriculture (MoFA) on 30th April 2018 contracted them to embark on a data collection campaign and after successfully completing the work, the GSS and MOFA since 2018 failed to pay them”.
They explained that every effort to retrieve their money from authorities proved futile.
