An Accra High Court has stopped the Numo Kofi Anum Family from taking possession of the Regimanuel East Airport Estate and has cancelled a writ of possession granted to them in June 2025.
The decision, delivered on August 13, 2025, followed an application by Regimanuel Gray Limited and some third-party homeowners.
The court also suspended the enforcement of the Kofi Anum Family’s judgment dated March 2024 until an appeal is concluded.
In its ruling, the court criticised the family for acting “chaotically” in executing the writ between June and August 2025, disturbing the peace and security of residents. It noted that the family, their agents, and contractors destroyed properties and harassed residents, exceeding the scope of the court’s judgment.
Some of the targeted properties, the court further found, were not part of the original dispute. The family’s conduct, it said, fell far short of lawful and civil behaviour.
Confirming the decision, Regimanuel Gray Limited, in a statement issued on August 15, 2025, said:
“An Accra High Court has in a joint order dated 13th August, 2025 set aside a Writ of possession earlier issued to the Numo Kofi Anum family of Tesa/Teshie on 24th June, 2025 and stayed the execution of its judgement dated March, 2024 pending the hearing and determination of the substantive appeal.”
The statement added: “This was after an application for same was made by Regimanuel Gray Limited and some affected third parties. Other applications filed by Regimanuel Gray in the Supreme Court are yet to be determined. The court in its ruling of 13th August noted the chaotic conduct of the Kofi Anum Family along with their agents, contractors and assigns in the purported execution of the Writ of possession over the fully developed Regimanuel Gray Estate at East Airport between June and August 2025.”
The company reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing justice through due process, assuring residents and stakeholders that lawful means would be used to resolve the matter. It also urged homeowners to remain calm and steadfast.
