The Berekum Circuit Court, presided over by Osei Kofi Amoako Esq., has remanded Emmanuel Yeboah into Police custody in connection with offences of attempted murder and causing harm.
According to a police statement issued on Wednesday, January 7, the suspect was arrested on January 3, 2026, by the Bono Regional Police Command following a report of an attack in which two individuals sustained multiple injuries.
The statement said preliminary investigations indicated that Emmanuel Yeboah ambushed the victims, his brother and his brother's wife, while they were on their way to a disputed cashew farm.
It said the attack was believed to have been triggered by a long-standing disagreement over ownership of the farm.
"Police retrieved a cutlass as an exhibit. The victims are currently on admission at a health facility receiving medical treatment," part of the statement read.
The suspect is expected to reappear before the Berekum Circuit Court on January 12, 2026, for the continuation of proceedings.
