Henry Nana Boakye, National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on residents of Ayawaso East to vote massively for the party’s parliamentary candidate, Baba Ali Yussif, in the March 3 by-election.
Addressing constituents during a campaign engagement, popularly known as Nana B described Baba Ali as a true grassroots figure with deep roots in the constituency.
According to him, the candidate’s long-standing presence in the area positions him as the most suitable person to represent the people in Parliament.
He maintained that Baba Ali understands the everyday challenges facing residents, having lived, worked and even taught in the constituency over the years.
“Baba Ali Yussif is your brother. He sleeps with you, he wakes up with you, he has taught in this constituency before. He was born here, the food you all eat is the same food he eats.
“Don’t bring in any stranger. This is your brother. As you see him here, even after you vote for him, he will still be here, available and with you,” he said in pidgin.
The March 3 by-election is expected to be keenly contested, with party officials intensifying efforts to mobilise support across the constituency.
