The Central Committee of the Covention People’s Party (CPP) has announced that candidates aspiring for the position of National Chairman will have to pay GHS 20,000 as filing fee.The Central Committee took the decision after a meeting last Thursday February 10, 2011.Aspirants to the position of Vice Chair, Treasurer and General Secretary will pay a filing fee of GHS 15,000 while those aspiring for the position of National Organisers will pay GHS 5,000.A statement signed by the CPP’s National Chairman Ladi Nylander also announced filing fees for those aspiring to contest regional positions of the party.The statement said aspirants for the position of Regional Chairpersons, Vice Chair, Regional Secretary and Treasurer will pay filing fees of GHC 800 while “all others will pay GHC 500”.Nominations for filing of regional positions will be opened from Wednesday February 16 to Monday February 25, 2011 whereas that for the National positions will be opened from Monday March 7 to Friday March 25, 2011.Story by Jerry Tsatro Mordy
