Nigerian music sensation Davido says plans are far advanced for the reshoot of the video for his hit single 'Skelewu' after fans expressed reservations about the first video.
A video, directed by Sesan, for the song surfaced on video sharing site, Youtube Tuesday but after several negative comments from fans, the musician said the video was work in progress which was leaked and urged fans to "disregard it".
Fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the low standard of the video, with one fan posting on youtube that "This video is completely rubbish... the only thing that made sense was the girl at the begining."
Davido, known in real life as David Adeleke, quickly took to micro-blogging site Twitter late Tuesday to announce that he was reshooting the video Thursday.
The 'Gobe' hit singer, who tweeted that he was "pissed", said "disregard the leak, that is not the official video... The official video is being redone. Thx .."
Expressing anger at the person who purportedly leaked the video, Davido added that, "Can't believe this dude did this... U know who u are! ... Then you wait till I'm on the plane lol smart move .. Karma".
"No worries God dey!! Skelewu official videos hoot this Thursday shot by @MrMoemusa," he urged and added that, "From the moment I first watched the leaked version 2 weeks ago I decided to reshoot it. I knew right away that skelewu deserved a better vid".
Mr Moe Musa, who will be directing the video, also tweeted that, "Now on set prepping up for #skelewu ReShoot with @iam_Davido - let's just say it's Movie Time #Pow #winning".
Mr Moe Musa is noted for several classic videos including Sarkodie's 'Down On One' featuring Fuse ODG.
The new and official 'Skelewu' video is expected to be released Monday.
