Dawa Free Zone has entered into a partnership with the Ghana Africa Trade Advisory Chamber (GATAC) to deepen engagement with the African diaspora and expand opportunities for trade and investment in Ghana.
Officials say the collaboration is aimed at strengthening connections between diaspora professionals, entrepreneurs and investors and Ghana’s growing industrial and commercial sectors.
The partnership was announced on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, as part of efforts to enhance trade, investment and knowledge exchange between Ghana-based institutions and diaspora stakeholders seeking to contribute to Africa’s development.
President of GATAC, Dr Dominic Oduro Antwi, said the collaboration will help create stronger platforms for linking diaspora expertise and capital with development opportunities on the continent.
“This partnership will help connect diaspora professionals, entrepreneurs and investors with opportunities in Ghana while strengthening international partnerships that support Africa’s development,” he said.
The engagement involved the leadership of GATAC alongside representatives from Dawa Free Zone, including its Acting MD, Kofi Ofori-Amanfo and Head of New Business, Ekow Eyeson-Ghansah
Through the partnership, the two organisations will collaborate on diaspora engagement initiatives such as trade advisory services, investment promotion and business networking opportunities.
Officials say the initiative is expected to open new pathways for diaspora investors and professionals to explore opportunities within Ghana’s expanding industrial landscape while contributing to business growth and job creation.
The partnership is also expected to support Ghana’s broader ambition of positioning itself as a hub for diaspora-driven investment, particularly as the country continues to pursue policies aimed at strengthening ties with its global diaspora community.
Ghana Africa Trade Advisory Chamber is a non-profit organisation that promotes trade, investment and strategic partnerships between Africa and the global business community. It brings together professionals and businesses across sectors such as mining, agriculture, finance, logistics, real estate, manufacturing and technology.
Meanwhile, Dawa Free Zone forms part of the industrial development ecosystem under LMI Holdings, a Ghanaian-owned firm involved in infrastructure development, industrial parks, logistics and utilities.
LMI Holdings is known for developing major industrial enclaves in Ghana, including the Dawa Industrial Zone and projects within the Tema Free Zones Enclave that host manufacturing and logistics companies.
Stakeholders believe the new partnership will strengthen links between Ghana’s industrial development projects and the African diaspora while opening fresh avenues for collaboration, investment and knowledge exchange.
