According to her, the Kasoa Divisional Police Command received a distress call that about five men in a military vehicle had attacked sand-winning workers on-site.
They robbed them of their mobile phones, money and seized seven tipper truck keys at gunpoint and sped off to the house of Nai Atopi at Nai Atopi Hills.
She said the Police proceeded to Nai Atopi Palace and arrested the suspects and a search was conducted at the scene and 11 assorted mobile phones, an ID card bearing the name of Emmanuel Dugble, one pump action gun with number MVO351885 and a cash sum of ¢1,511.00 were retrieved from them.
DSP Oppong disclosed that the suspects were detained and exhibits including the military vehicle have been retained for investigation while Nai Atopi has been invited by the police to assist with the investigation.
