Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien has been shortlisted for the PFA’s Fans Player of the Month Award for October in England.
The Chelsea ace is up against the Tottenham pair of Gareth Bale and Rafa van der Vaart.
Youssouf Mulumbu of West Brom, United pair Javier Hernandez and Nani and City’s Carlos Tevez have also been nominated.
Essien has been in outstanding form all season for Chelsea and produced some goals for the club too as well.
He missed out on the award last season as West Brom player Osaze Odemwingie won the award.
