A board member of Accra of Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Ltd of Ghana, Alhaji Fawaz Zowk believes the entire organizers of the centenary celebrations and the current Technical team have disappointed the supporters of the club.
Hearts of Oak were two points behind Kotoko before their centenary celebrations. The Phobians after six league matches had won four, lost one and drawn one, a situation he believes does not augur well for the Phobians, adding that, the club seems to be doing well because they recruited good players and will not give credit to the technical team.
Commenting on the centenary anniversary of Hearts of Oak, Mr. Fawaz said judging from the funds available to centenary planning committee he will rate the anniversary 6 out of 10% in their organization of the Centenary Anniversary.
Speaking to Asempa fm Sports Morning Show: "I am surprised that my 25 years contributions to Hearts of Oak has not been recognized by the Centenary Planning Committee and am surprised at the sort of politics being played in the club by certain individuals".
He went ahead to say that his family should not allow Hearts Management to read tributes for him when he dies and prefers they should rather allow the supporters of the club to read tribute for him. “I am a human being and not an angel to be honest, I am peeved and saying this on your network that if am not rewarded this time when I die none of the officials of the club should come to my funeral grounds and read tribute for me”.
“I will only take tribute from the supporters because they have awarded me already and always recognize my contribution to the club.” Mr. Fawaz said he has no problem with the board Chairman Mr. Commordore Mensah because he is his Board Chairman but will never forget the centenary which he was not awarded and certain later day saints were given awards"he told Asempa Sports
Mr. Fawaz adviced the supporters to rally behind the club because it could be a good omen against Kotoko come Sunday after loosing to Nigerian premier league side Enugu Rangers by 2 goals 1 in an anniversary match.
