Fire has destroyed part of the eighth floor of the Heritage Towers at Rigde in Accra Sunday morning.
Joy News’ Afreh Kwakye Nuamah who was at the scene reported that the fire, which started at about 11 am, affected the Security and Real Estate Department of the Volta River Authority (VRA).
Security official at the reception of the Heritage Towers told Joy News they sensed scent coming from one of the ICT rooms and quickly alerted the Ghana National Fire Service.
The timely intervention of the personnel of the Fire Service curtailed the fire from spreading and causing extensive damage.
It is unclear the extent of damage caused by the fire but several items including batteries and chargers have been damaged.
