Anchored by the theme "Je m'éduque, donc j'agis" (I educate myself, therefore I act), the festival underscores the value of education. The festival celebrates Ghana's full membership in the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and the opportunities this presents for cultural exchange, educational collaboration, and economic partnership.

The Francophonie spirit resonated throughout Ghana, with Kumasi and Cape Coast also hosting their own unique celebrations in the form of soirees, quiz competitions, recreation days and theatrical performances.
Understanding Francophonie:
"Francophonie" refers to the global community of states and governments that share the French language. The International Organization of La Francophonie (IOF) represents a significant linguistic zone, with a mission to promote the French language, cultural diversity, peace, democracy, education, and sustainable development.
The organisation has its headquarters in Paris, France, with regional offices all over the world, including the West African Regional Office (BRAO) in Lomé, Togo.
