Patrons of African Legends Night can start the count down again, as Afro beat music star, Freddy Meiway has been announced as the headliner of the 2015 edition of the concert.
This year’s edition of the annual concert, organized by Global Media Alliance, is slated for September 26 at the Banquet Hall, State House.
Destined to be a night full of glamour, this year’s edition will also feature an incredible lineup of homegrown veteran highlife artistes including Amakye Dede, Gyedu-Blay Ambulley, Akosua Adjapong and Trigmatic.
Richard Adjei, Chief Executive Officer of Kasapreko Company Limited, the title sponsor of the event, commented that “Celebrating authentic and originality of Africa with music from our roots is the passion of Kasapreko. This year’s event promises to be phenomenal with Freddy Meiway, one of Africa’s music icons headlining the event”.

Organizers and sponsors have promised to dazzle patrons of African music with vibrant performances.
Known in real life as Frederic Desire Ehui, Meiway – aka Monsieur Zoblazo rules dance floors all the way across Africa.
Ratcheting up Zoblazo (a catchy rhythm from southern Ivory Coast), Meiway has forged his own signature style throughout a career that has spanned almost 15 years.
For the past five years, African Legends Night has celebrated musical icons from the continent and carved an event niche catered to the middle-aged and the young who have a soft spot for local African music.
Notable performers have included South Africa’s legend and first headliner of the concert, Hugh Masekela, Femi Kuti, Ghanaian ace Saxophonist Steve Bedi, Ben Brako, among others and a blend of artistes across Africa.
Every year, African Legends Night houses and entertains 1,000s of fans with soothing, exciting, danceable African tunes.
